Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Clinic is holding flu shot clinics for people of all ages at its Crosby physician clinic this October.
Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 1, flu shots will be available in Bay 1 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary and insurance is accepted. The cash cost is $30 per person.
The flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and lungs. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting a flu vaccine each year.
Everyone six months of age and older should get a flu vaccine every season. Vaccination to prevent influenza is particularly important for people who are at high risk of serious complications from influenza.
