Women's Health

The overall prevalence of vaccines in adults is low. In many cases, women do not know what vaccines they need. The following is a quick list of vaccines that are recommended for many women but individual recommendations will need to be at the direction of your provider:
- Hepatitis A and B vaccine: applies to some women.
- HPV: for ages 9-26 currently however this may apply to women older than 26 in the near future.
- Influenza (flu) : annually
- Pneumococcal: for adults older than 65 and younger immunocompromised adults.
- Herpes Zoster (shingles): people over age 50 regardless of shingles history. younger than age 50 in some immunocompromised adults.
- TDaP (tetanus and pertussis-commonly known as “whooping cough”): for adults who have not been previously vaccinated, pregnant women with each pregnancy and for persons age 45 or older who are in close contact with child under age 1.
- Covid 19 vaccine.
