Area seniors are invited to attend “What is an Annual Wellness Visit?,” a free lunch and learn seminar about the Medicare Wellness Program on Tuesday, July 25, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Heartwood Senior Living Community in Crosby.
Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Population Health & Wellness Nurses will speak about how a wellness visit can optimize a person’s health and well-being, fight illnesses, and help him or her live longer. They will explain what the visit entails including developing a personal wellness plan, correcting unhealthy habits, learning to manage chronic conditions, preventing and detecting illnesses early, ensuring vaccines and screenings are up to date, updating health records, and lowering the cost of health care.
Presented by Cuyuna Area Connections and sponsored by CRMC, lunch will be provided. Registration is required by Friday, July 21, by calling 218-546-2357. For more information about the free wellness exam or to schedule an appointment, call 218-546-7462.
