Minimally invasive techniques using laparoscopic instrumentation are performed when applicable.

Minnesota Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery.

At CRMC’s Minnesota Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIMIS), our experienced surgical team is trained in the latest procedures and technology including robotics. We offer a wide range of surgical specialties—including general surgery, orthopedics, weight-loss surgery, gynecology, podiatry and more. 

Dr. Paul Severson and Dr. Howard McCollister brought CRMC into the surgical limelight by forming MIMIS. Today, there more than 20 world-class surgeons in the group.
