Is Bariatric Surgery Right For Me?
If you’re experiencing severe health complications related to obesity, then this may be the right path for you. You do not need a referral from your doctor, and most insurances, including Medicare and Medical Assistance, cover the cost. Weight loss surgery requirements include:
- Age 18 or older
- Able to attend follow-up visits
- BMI above 40 or 35 with other issues such as diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or severe acid reflux
What Comes Before and After Surgery?
Step 1: Attend a CRMC weight loss seminar.
Step 2: Send us your medical records from the past two years.
Step 3: Attend your pre-surgery appointments.
Step 4: Get approval from your insurance.
Step 5: Complete four weeks of a low-carb diet.
Step 6: Schedule and complete surgery.
Step 7: Attend five follow-up appointments after surgery and annually after that.
