Urologist Receives Greenlight™ Center of Excellence Designation
CROSBY, Minn. – Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC), is proud to announce that Board Certified Urologist Brandon Reynolds, MD, has been designated as a GreenLight™ Laser Therapy Center of Excellence physician. This designation is awarded to physicians who have attained advanced training with the Greenlight™ Laser Therapy. This minimally invasive procedure treats benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), by vaporizing obstructive prostate tissue and helping to restore natural urine flow.
“Center of Excellence designation is a reassurance to our patients that we perform a lot of procedures,” said Dr. Reynolds. “We are one of the top-tier facilities in the nation where they’ll get the best outcome for their procedure.”
CRMC’s Urology department specializes in treating disorders of the genito-urinary tract, encompassing the kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra, and male reproductive organs. The team understands the importance of tailoring treatment plans to meet each patient’s unique needs effectively. Comprehensive and cutting-edge care is available for both male and female urinary tract conditions and reproductive issues, including robotic-assisted surgery using the da Vinci Xi® robot when appropriate.
Dr. Reynolds joined CRMC in July 2020 and has since earned several honors, including designation as a Center of Excellence physician for both the Medtronic InterStim™ and UroLift™ systems. InterStim™ is a minimally invasive treatment for overactive bladder, while the UroLift™ system provides rapid symptom relief and recovery for men with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), a common condition that causes frequent and urgent urination.
In the United States, it is estimated that 40% of men in their 50s and 70% of men in their 60s experience a frequent and urgent need to urinate due to an enlarged prostate. According to the Urology Foundation, one in three women aged 35 and above experience urinary leakage. If you’re ready to take back control, request a consultation to discuss your needs and explore solutions together.
