CRMC Earns 2025 Performance Leadership Award

CROSBY, Minn. – Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC) has been recognized with the 2025 Performance Leadership Award for Patient Perspective, a national distinction honoring top-performing rural hospitals for delivering exceptional patient experience. The award, presented by the Chartis Center for Rural Health, places CRMC among the top 25% of rural hospitals nationwide based on how patients rate their care. The recognition is determined using the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®, which evaluates hospitals across multiple domains, including quality, outcomes, and patient perception, using publicly reported data to identify organizations that consistently excel.

In rural America, healthcare is truly a lifeline. At CRMC, we understand the unique challenges rural hospitals face – from provider shortages to increasing demands on our care teams. Being recognized for patient perspective affirms that even in the face of these realities, our staff continues to deliver compassionate, high-quality care that our community can count on,” said CRMC CEO Amy Hart.

CRMC’s strong performance in patient perspective underscores the organization’s commitment to communication, care coordination, and overall patient experience. The award aligns with CRMC’s ongoing initiatives to expand access to high-quality care, including clinic growth in Nisswa, enhanced oncology services, and strengthened community partnerships aimed at supporting long-term health and wellness across the region. These strategic efforts reflect CRMC’s long-standing dedication to meeting the evolving needs of the communities it serves.

Rural healthcare has always required creativity, resilience, and a deep connection to the people we serve. This award reflects not only excellence in patient experience but also the innovation happening across our organization, from expanding access to specialty care to building partnerships that strengthen the long-term health of our region. We’re proud to be part of a community where care truly comes full circle,” explained Hart.

The Performance Leadership Awards are announced as part of National Rural Health Day, an annual observance recognizing the vital role hospitals and providers play in serving rural communities. CRMC’s achievement highlights not only excellence in patient care but also the dedication of its caregivers, staff, physicians, and volunteers who uphold the organization’s mission of providing exceptional care close to home.
