CRMC Receives Four Statewide Awards for Innovation and Excellence
Cuyuna Regional Medical Center is proud to announce it has earned four statewide honors through the Minnesota Hospital Association 2026 Spring Awards program, recognizing innovation, patient-centered care, workforce development, and operational excellence.
The awards highlight the meaningful work taking place across CRMC to improve patient outcomes, enhance education, and strengthen healthcare access throughout the region.
2026 Minnesota Hospital Association Award Winners
Nursing Innovations Award
CRMC’s nurse-led preoperative optimization program was recognized for improving surgical readiness by helping patients address medical concerns prior to surgery. The initiative has helped reduce cancellations, improve safety, and enhance the overall patient experience through proactive, team-based coordination.
Nursing Innovations Award
CRMC’s coordinated enteral feeding tube education process was honored for improving continuity of care and helping patients and families feel more confident managing feeding tube care after discharge through streamlined education and cross-team coordination.
Clinical & Quality Innovation Award
CRMC earned statewide recognition for its innovative prostate cancer video education pathway, designed to provide patients with timely, accessible information following diagnosis. The program supports earlier understanding, more informed decision-making, and improved access to care closer to home.
Hiring & Recruiting Award
CRMC’s Marketing Department was recognized for developing a virtual career day video highlighting the wide range of healthcare careers within the organization, including many essential behind-the-scenes roles. The project strengthens workforce awareness and helps inspire future healthcare professionals in rural communities.
