CRMC Awarded Dual Training Grant Through State of Minnesota
Crosby, Minn. – Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is proud to announce that it has once again been awarded a Dual Training Grant from the Minnesota Office of Higher Education. This grant supports a “learn-while-you-earn” model, allowing individuals to build professional skills while working toward an industry-recognized credential.
Supporting Career Growth for 25 Employees
Thanks to this funding, 25 current CRMC employees will have the opportunity to further their education and advance their careers in healthcare.
Each trainee can receive up to $8,000 through grant funding and CRMC contributions, which can be used to cover tuition, fees, books, and other educational expenses. CRMC employees will enroll in programs including:
- Respiratory Therapy
- Surgical Technology
- Medical Lab Technology
- Radiologic Technology
- Registered Nursing
- EMT-to-Paramedic training.
Courses will be taken through institutions across central and northern Minnesota, including Central Lakes College, Northwest Technical College, and Lake Superior College.

This is not the first time CRMC has received a Dual Training Grant, and interest continues to grow—there’s even a waitlist among employees eager to take part. The enthusiasm reflects a strong commitment to professional growth and providing the highest quality care to our patients.
A Statewide Pipeline for Workforce Development
Minnesota’s Dual Training Pipeline is open to multiple industries and occupations beyond healthcare, including manufacturing, transportation, agriculture, childcare, information technology, and the legal cannabis industry – making it a valuable resource for workforce development across the state.
