Dr. Cady’s Bonk Burgers
Enjoy this family favorite of Dr. Michael Cady, MD, FACOG. Red meat is a great source of protein, healthy fats, energizing B vitamins, and blood-building iron.
Makes: 10 burgers | Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 10–12 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. ground beef or bison
- 1/2 c. chopped parsley
- 1/2 c. almond flour
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. fennel seeds
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 2 eggs
DIRECTIONS:
- Remove the meat from the fridge 30 minutes prior to cooking to bring it up to room temperature.
- Preheat grill to medium-high. In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, fennel seed, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, and almond flour. Add hamburger, and use your hands to mix together and shape into equal sized patties.
- Grill to an internal temp of 160 degrees.
- Top with condiments of choice. Enjoy!
