Tips on exercise and other common concerns when coping with arthritis symptoms and pain will be provided at a free, public seminar at The Northern Cowboy Flame N’ Brew, 19090 State Highway 371 in Brainerd (former Ivan’s location). Minnesota Center for Orthopaedics Certified Nurse Practitioner Adam English and Surgeon Dr. Jonathan Herseth will give advice about easing the pain of arthritis with exercise, medication and stress reduction. They will also discuss the types of arthritis and their treatment options. Also that evening, health and wellness information will be available from various providers and refreshments served. Weight Loss Support Group
Time: 6 p.m.
Place: Heartwood Senior Living Community
Those considering weight loss surgery are invited to hear testimonials from those who have the procedure at a free meeting.
Pre- and post-surgical weight loss surgery patients are invited to come together to talk, share experiences and provide emotional support to one another. The support group offers a variety of speakers and topics designed to provide high quality, educational programs related to weight loss surgery. The discussions are not only therapeutic and educational but lively and fun. Supportive family members and friends are also encouraged to attend.
