Kaitlin Kriefall Joins the CRMC Hospital Care Team

If you or a loved one stays at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC), you may meet Kaitlin Kriefall. A board-certified physician assistant, Kaitlin has joined CRMC Hospital Medicine, where she provides hospital care in Crosby, MN, for patients during their stay.

Kaitlin earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Dakota in 2026. She completed clinical rotations across North Dakota and Minnesota in hospital internal medicine, primary care, general surgery, neurosurgery and urgent care.

How Does Kaitlin Approach Patient Care?

Kaitlin believes good hospital care looks at the whole person. She works with every member of a patient’s care team so each patient gets holistic, individualized care.

“My goal as a provider is to ensure that patients receive care that addresses all needs including physical, mental, social, and spiritual,” said Kaitlin Kriefall, CRMC Hospitalist Physician Assistant.

Her professional interests include lifestyle medicine, especially exercise as a form of medicine, and geriatric care.

Experience That Started Close to Patients

Kaitlin began her healthcare career in 2019 as a volunteer EMT for community events. She went on to work as a nurse aide on the medical/oncology unit at CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, North Dakota, and as a patient care aide at CVS MinuteClinic in Blaine.

While earning her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of Mary, she completed practicums at the university’s exercise clinic and with a Rock Steady Boxing program for people with Parkinson’s disease. She also completed an internship in cardiac rehabilitation.

Why the Lakes Area Feels Like Home

Kaitlin grew up in Blaine, but she spent many holidays and weekends at her family’s cabin in the lakes area. During a PA school rotation in Brainerd, she heard from patients about their positive experiences at CRMC.

“I was so excited to have the opportunity to work at a highly respected institution and return to my second home growing up,” she said.

Outside of work, Kaitlin enjoys hiking, biking, swimming, playing guitar and watercolor painting.
