Memory Loss Support Group

Time:  9:30 a.m.
Place: Heartwood Senior Living


The group’s facilitators are Karen Ford and Pam Wachholz who have been trained through the Alzheimer’s Association.  Both women have loved ones in their lives with Alzheimer’s, a disease that attacks the brain. The group is free and open to the public; no reservations necessary.  Light refreshments and beverages served. For more information, call 218-545-8522.

Fun & Fit Jam

Time:  9-11 a.m.
Place: Hallett Community Center


A 1K Fun Run, fitness activities, and 24 health education booths will all be part of the free back to school youth health and fitness event. A free back pack full of school supplies donated by CRMC staff will be given to the first 150 youth.  There will also be a bike helmet fitting with free bike helmets, demonstrations, a bouncy house, and healthy refreshments.  Participants can also enjoy Hallett’s pool and water slide at no charge from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
