Cuyuna Regional Medical Center will host its monthly cancer support group on April 18, from noon to 1:00 p.m. CRMC Clinical Psychologist Kristin Furan, Psy.D., will present on the important topic of what to do when your spouse has cancer. She will discuss supporting one another and facing cancer together, along with how to talk to children about the diagnosis.
The group is an opportunity to share experiences, support one another, listen, and learn. Cancer Support Group meetings are held monthly on the third Thursday, with a soup and sandwich lunch. Each month, a different topic related to cancer is highlighted. There is no cost to attend, but those planning to attend should e-mail dustine.parks@cuyunamed.org or call 218.546.4319. She specializes in helping individuals, couples, and families facing challenges, including grief, anxiety, panic attacks, life transitions, relational conflict, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and self-esteem issues.
