Alissa Wigen is a physician assistant who provides neurology care at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Augsburg University and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Alissa cares for patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. Her professional interests include neurology care during pregnancy, epilepsy, headaches and migraines, and multiple sclerosis (MS). She also sees patients with general neurology concerns.

Alissa believes no two patients are the same, and care should reflect that. She focuses on helping patients understand their condition and works with them to create treatment plans that fit their life, goals, and values. She also collaborates closely with other members of the healthcare team to make sure patients receive the best possible care.

Originally from Eagan, Minnesota, Alissa most recently worked at CentraCare Neurology. She chose to join CRMC because the Cuyuna Lakes area has become home and she values CRMC’s focus on collaboration, compassion, and continuous improvement.

Outside of work, Alissa enjoys reading, traveling, shopping, and spending time on the lake with friends and family.
