
Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Data Processing Analyst Mary Novotny of Ironton was recognized May 25 as an “I Care” Ambassador for the extra care and compassion she provides to patients, residents, employees, and others.
Her award nominator stated, “Mary is inspiring, she runs a gratitude group with fellow employees. Her mission is to collect money throughout the year to put toward Angel Tree gifts at Christmas. She is the most genuine, caring, approachable employee. She will go out of her way in public to approach fellow employees to greet them, most of the time with a hug. She is a confidant to many of her fellow co-workers. She has added co-workers’ family members to her prayers. Mary always goes above her normal job duties to maintain a level of excellence that displays her dedication to this organization.”
A member of CRMC’s staff the past 42 years, she started her career at CRMC as a dietary aide. She is a graduate of Crosby-Ironton High School.
CRMC’s “I Care” Award was established in 2013 to recognize employees who consistently provide compassionate care, a personal touch, and true caring. Those selected have demonstrated excellence in CRMC’s values of ICARE: inspiring, community involvement, approachable, relationships, and excellence.
