CRMC Championship Returns to Brainerd Lakes Area

We’re nearing the dog days of summer, making it the perfect time to savor lake days, BBQs, golf outings, and those signature Brainerd Lakes sunsets. We’re also less than a month away from the highly anticipated 4th annual CRMC Championship Golf Tournament presented by Northern Pacific Center, taking place August 24 – 31 at Cragun’s Legacy Courses in Brainerd, MN.

This week-long celebration of golf, community, and local pride features rising PGA TOUR Americas golfers competing for the title and Fortinet Cup points on their journey to the PGA TOUR. The event offers something for everyone, with plenty of exciting activities on and off the course. 

Event Highlights 

  • Monday, August 25: Fore! Charity Golf Tournament

    Tee off at 1:00 p.m. at Cragun’s Legacy Courses—Lehman 18 for an 18-hole best ball scramble, benefiting the CRMC Foundation. Participants will enjoy interacting with six PGA TOUR Americas professionals, each hosting a specialty hole. 

  • Wednesday, August 27: Official Pro-Am

    The always popular Official Pro-Am pairs four-player teams with the pros on the front and back nine, with a single-digit handicapper adding expertise to the mix. This event is sold out, but spectators are encouraged to come watch! 

Spectator Perks & Challenges 

Thanks to Thrivent Financial, spectators can catch all the action on the greens free of charge. Don’t miss the CRMC Challenge presented by the Brainerd American Legion Post 255, where you could win cash prizes or even tickets to play TPC Sawgrass in Florida by sinking a hole-in-one! 

Thursday & Friday: Military Appreciation Days & Family Fun 

August 28 & 29
All active-duty personnel, retired military, and veterans (with ID) receive VIP access from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., including complimentary food and drink.

Thursday, August 28: Family Day

  • Round 1 of the CRMC Championship begins, featuring 156 players from around the world.
  • Enjoy the Babinski Foundation Animal Adoption event (1:00–4:00 p.m.) and the Kids Zone, filled with free activities courtesy of Thrivent Financial.

Friday, August 29: Round 2 & Ladies Night 

As the competition intensifies and the field is cut to the top 60 players (plus ties), the fun continues: 

  • Ladies Night kicks off at 5:00 p.m., featuring a designer purse raffle, drink specials, and mingling with the pros. 
  • DJ Ross B keeps the party going from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. 

Saturday, August 31: Round 3 & Saturday Night Jam 

The pressure rises as players enter Round 3, and the day wraps up with the Clow Stamping Co. Saturday Night Jam, featuring Minnesota’s own GB Leighton. 

  • Tickets: $30 (includes food) 
  • Fireworks cap off the night! 

Sunday, September 1: Final Round & Seniors Day 

The CRMC Championship concludes Sunday afternoon on the green at hole 18. 

  • Seniors Day: Guests 60+ receive 50% off VIP tickets. 
  • Celebrate the champion as they raise the unique Paul Bunyan’s Axe Trophy. 
  • Stick around for a special check presentation to the CRMC Foundation, recognizing the tournament’s direct impact on local healthcare.
