Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Physical Therapist Nancy Heise will speak on Thursday, January 18, about ways to manage cancer-related fatigue at CRMC’s Cancer Support Group in the hospital’s Clinic Conference Room.
Heise will also answer any questions about lymphedema, neuropathy, and balance. A lead therapist at CRMC since 1989, Heise specializes in treating fibromyalgia, chronic pain, neurologic conditions, post-cancer rehabilitation, lower extremity prosthetic training, both male and female incontinence, and women’s health. She also has extensive experience in wound care and lymphedema treatment and holds national lymphedema certification. She received her initial physical therapy training at The College of St. Scholastica and completed several clinical experiences.
The group is an opportunity to share experiences, support one another, listen, and learn. Cancer Support Group meetings are held monthly on the third Thursday, with a soup and sandwich lunch. Each month highlights a different topic related to cancer. There is no cost to attend, but those planning to attend should e-mail dustine.parks@cuyunamed.org or call 218.546.4319.
Participants can also attend the support group virtually. Send a message requesting a meeting link to dustine.parks@cuyunamed.org.
