The Cuyuna Iron Range Riders ATV Club raised $3,150 for area diabetes patients July 22 at their We Ride Because of Brandon event on the Miller Black Bear Trail near Trommald. All proceeds benefit Brandon’s Wallet, which is in memory of Brandon Houge, who died from complications of diabetes at age 27. Funds are provided to those who need assistance with insulin, glucose testing supplies, equipment, travel expenses, and giving youth scholarships to Camp Needlepoint.
