New Year’s goals and healthy eating will be discussed by Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Registered Dietitian Miranda Larson on KKIN Radio’s Community Connection program, 94.3 on the FM dial, Thursday, Jan. 11, from 8 to 8:15 a.m.
Larson will focus on getting back to healthy eating habits after the holidays. She will also discuss how to include more physical activity during cold winter months and things that can be done to promote a healthy mindset.
The dietitian will also share information about CRMC’s providers who will be available to visit at the Lakes Area Health & Wellness Expo scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 20, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Northern Pacific Center in Brainerd.
A member of CRMC’s Clinical Nutrition Department, Larson assesses patients’ nutritional status and provides diet education as ordered by physicians. She specializes in working with patients in CRMC’s Medical Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery programs. Larson came to CRMC from Lakewood Health System. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from North Dakota State University.
