Take a chance at winning a new ATV, vacation getaway, gun or cash and support local Type 1 Diabetes patients by purchasing a $10 Because of Brandon raffle ticket.
The raffle is for a new, 2018 Textron Alterra 700 ATV with a winch and plow ($7,999 value), Ruttger’s weekend with meals and golf ($1,150 value), .22 LR Barracuda gun donated by Magnum Research ($840 value), $150, and $50. The winners will be announced Monday, July 29, following the fourth annual Because of Brandon event to be held Saturday, July 25, at the Crosby Bar & Grill.
Raffle tickets are now available for sale in the following locations: Baxter/Brainerd--CRMC Baxter Clinic, Cub Foods, Culvers and Deerwood Bank; Breezy Point--CRMC Breezy Point Clinic; Crosby—Barstock, C-I Courier, Croft Pub, Crosby Bar, Cuyuna Lakes Pharmacy, Deerwood Bank, MidMinnesota Federal Credit Union, Midway, Mixed Company, Rafferty’s, Red Raven, Spalding and The Bridge; Crosslake--Crosslake Veterinary Clinic; Deerwood--Coach’s, Deerwood American Legion and Deerwood True Value; Ironton--Town Tavern; Longville--CRMC Longville clinic; and Nisswa--Nisswa Chamber of Commerce.
Because of Brandon was established in memory of Brandon Houge, a young man from Ironton who unexpectedly passed away from complications of diabetes. A wine and craft beer tasting, silent auction, barbecue, raffles, ATV ride, and street dance will all be a part of the 4th annual even. All the money raised benefits Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Diabetes Education Department and is used to fund youth diabetes camps, patient travel expenses, and educational events.
