Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Multi-Specialty Clinic Director Ryan Stepan of Baxter on September 14 received the organization’s Fire Starter Award for his outstanding leadership. The Fire Starter Award recognizes leaders who, through their dedication and passion, guide, and support CRMC's commitment to excellence while keeping the true spirit of the organization alive and flourishing.
CRMC Chief Operations Officer Lynn Severson presented the award saying, “Ryan is always ready to help, willing to jump in, and lead new endeavors; he is able to see the big picture and provide solid input and advice to any project. He works closely with other departments to resolve issues impacting patient care. He pulls together the right stakeholders to discuss and resolve issues. He works for compromise and was instrumental in re-working an integrated schedule which allowed new onboarding surgeons to have surgical time as well as accommodating growth in specialities.”
Stepan, a native of Eagan, Minn., joined CRMC’s Leadership Team in 2020. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Des Moines University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from North Dakota State University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Medical Group Management Association, and the National Association of Rural Health Clinics.
