Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Nutritional Services Dietary Aide Melanie Sharpe-Stirewalt of Ironton was recently presented the organization’s Trophy Fish Award for going above and beyond in her job duties by obtaining popcorn for some Care Center residents’ movie night.
Her nominator wrote, “Nursing asked Culinary staff if we had any popcorn because two residents wanted to have a movie night. Melanie checked and no popcorn was available so she had her husband bring in bags of microwave popcorn from home so the residents could have a fun movie night. Melanie also added popcorn to the order list so it would be available in the future.”
A member of CRMC’s staff since 2007, Sharpe-Stirewalt is a graduate of Crosby-Ironton High School.
