About This Provider:

Family Physician Lacey Running Hawk of Ironton joined Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Crosby Clinic in November 2020. She is passionate about preventative health, women’s health, prenatal care, pediatric care, community outreach, and mentorship and is skilled in several outpatient procedures. Dr. Running Hawk came to CRMC from Ne la Shing Clinic in Onamia where she practiced for four years.

She earned her Medical Degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Duluth and Minneapolis and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology at the University of Minnesota-Morris. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at United Family Medicine Residency Program in St. Paul. Her community service includes serving as a preceptor to medical students in the University of Minnesota Rural Physician Scholars Program. She also partnered with the American Indian Magnet School in St. Paul, directing a program titled “5-2-1-0 with American Indian Youth” that focused on the health and wellness of elementary students. 

An enrolled member of the Standing Rock Lakota Sioux tribe, Dr. Running Hawk enjoys being outdoors – hiking, biking, paddle boarding, walking her dogs, and spending time with her husband, Jason, and children, Henry and Margo. She loves traveling abroad and especially appreciates the exposure to new cultures. Self-described as a huge Minnesota Vikings fan, she says her greatest life accomplishment so far is teaching her son the SKOL chant before he was two.
