EMR (First Responder) Skills Test
October 9 @ 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
This is a 4-week hybrid course. Students will not be onsite until the final skills session and testing, which is October 8 and 9.
EMR is a course designed to train community members to manage medical emergencies as EMRs are often the first members of the emergency medical team to arrive on scene. There are multiple area first responder groups looking for volunteers, especially those that already have a medical background and if interested in the course, it may be worthwhile to reach out to them to determine their need for possible volunteers.
New this year, we will be completing a hybrid learning experience with lesson work and assignments completed independently at a structured pace. As this is a fast-paced course, all students will be expected to keep up with course work to ensure comprehension during this 4 week course. With this hybrid model CRMC Education reserves the right to resume required on-site classes one night each week (as was the previous format for this class) if students are not dedicating the necessary time outside of class to complete assignments, the course average passing rate is at or below 75%, or per discretion of the course instructor/s.
All students will be required (with no exceptions) to attend two onsite days for skills review, the written test, and the psychomotor skills test planned for the evenings of October 8th and 9th, 2024.
