By following and acknowledging these expectations, it will allow CRMC to reinforce and enhance our reputation as the best place to receive care, practice medicine and work. All of this work will collectively contribute to CRMC achieving its VISION of being the independent rural leader in innovative health care delivery.
Ambulatory Services Registered Nurse Wanda Barnes of Ironton recently received the Trophy Fish Award for going above and beyond in her job by assisting a patient. Barnes came to work early when asked by a co-worker if she would be able to access a patient’s implanted port that was very difficult to access. She came to the Surgery Department early and successfully accessed the patient’s port. The patient was pleased. “Wanda displayed collaboration and dedication to the patient,” her nominator wrote. “Great teamwork!” A member of CRMC’s staff since 2008, Barnes earned an Associate of Science degree in nursing at Central Lakes College. She also holds a Diploma in Practical Nursing from Brainerd Area Vocational Technical Institute.
