
Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Palliative Care Program Manager Betsy Liedl, R.N., L.S.W., will speak about effectively managing stress at CRMC’s Virtual Cancer Support Group on Thursday, Feb. 17, from 12 to 1 p.m.
Liedl, a social worker at CRMC since 2013, assists individuals and families actual and potential health problems. She works collaboratively with care teams to help patients and their families in coping with illness, optimize the patient’s self-care abilities, and support patient’s rights to make choices. Liedl has been a nurse for more than 40 years and a social worker for more than 30 years.
People who are newly diagnosed with cancer, undergoing treatment or post treatment and their significant others are invited. The group is an opportunity to share experiences and support one another, to listen and learn.
Virtual Cancer Support Group meetings are held the third Thursday of each month, with a new topic each month. Registration for the support group is not required and there is no cost to attend.
