People who are newly diagnosed with cancer, undergoing treatment or post treatment, and their significant others are invited to hear Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Clinical Director of Oncology Tara Charboneau speak about side effect management at CRMC’s Cancer Support Group on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 12 to 1 p.m.
Charboneau joined the medical staff of CRMC’s Cancer Care Center in August 2021. She has over 15 years’ experience as a registered nurse, mostly in outpatient oncology. She earned her Doctorate of Nurse Practice at the University of Mary-Bismarck, Master of Science degree in Nursing at Western Governors University and Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Minot State University.
Also at the group, Charitable Fund Coordinator Jennifer Podsiadly will speak about Kaleidoscope—A Night Among the Survivors, a fund-raiser for CRMC’s Courage Cabinet planned for Thursday evening, Oct. 27, at the Ironton American Legion.
Cancer Care Navigator Dustine Parks will lead a discussion. The group is an opportunity to share experiences and support one another, to listen and learn. Cancer Support Group meetings are held the third Thursday of each month with a new topic each month. A soup and sandwich lunch is served. There is no cost but those planning to attend should make a reservation by sending a message to firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 218-546-4319.
Participants can also attend virtually. Send a message requesting a meeting link to email@example.com. Call 218-546-4319 or 218-546-4302 for more information.
