
Area seniors are invited to attend a presentation about Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Hospice and Palliative Care programs by a panel of experts at a free Lunch and Learn seminar by on Thursday, June 9, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Deerwood Auditorium.
Local service providers will share information about Hospice and Palliative Care and discuss the difference between the two. They will also provide details about the Medicare eligibility for each service and the benefits of each level of care. Among the items to be discussed is how Hospice is not just for the patient but for the family and support system as well, how Hospice includes bereavement services and support, and how Palliative Care embraces the relief of suffering.
