Samantha Henrichs is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 12 years of healthcare experience and deep roots in the Cuyuna Lakes area. Born in Brainerd and raised in Crosby, Samantha has lived in the area her entire life. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she served as CRMC’s Behavioral Health & Suboxone RN Clinic Coordinator.
Samantha believes mental health care starts with creating a space where patients feel safe, heard and understood. She takes time to learn about each person’s history, including treatments they have tried and what has or has not worked. Her goal is to develop a treatment plan that reflects the individual needs of each patient while helping them better understand and take an active role in their mental health.
Her connection to CRMC began long before her career. Samantha’s grandmother worked at CRMC, and she remembers visiting her office as a child and how welcoming the employees were. Those experiences helped shape her connection to the organization and her desire to continue caring for people in the community she calls home.
Outside of work, Samantha enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, crafting, hiking and traveling. She also races her 2017 Corvette and enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Loki, an Australian Shepherd, and Bandit, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Racing is a family interest, along with fishing, hiking and boating.
