Bio

Dr. Grant McCormick is a board-certified urologist at CRMC who provides advanced urologic care for men and women. His clinical interests include urologic oncology, men’s health and prosthetic implants, male and female incontinence, and general urology.

Originally from the Cambridge-Isanti area of Minnesota, Dr. McCormick has a strong interest in rural medicine. During college and medical school, he spent time at CRMC shadowing and learning from the physicians and staff. He also completed a two-month research project at CRMC as part of his work in rural medicine.

Those experiences gave Dr. McCormick an early look at the level of specialty care available at CRMC and had a lasting impact on him. When he later chose to specialize in urology, he knew he wanted to come back.

“When I decided to go into urology, my goal was always to join CRMC,” Dr. McCormick said. “Rural areas are often underserved, especially in specialty surgical fields, and my goal is to provide advanced and excellent urologic care to the residents of this region.”

Dr. McCormick earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed his urologic surgery residency at the University of Missouri Medical Center. His approach to care focuses on both an excellent patient experience and excellent surgical results.

Outside of work, Dr. McCormick enjoys golfing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing and upland bird hunting. He is also an avid Vikings and Timberwolves fan and enjoys following the Twins and Wild.
