Bio
Christopher Kaczmarczyk, DO, is a board-certified emergency physician who joined the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Emergency Department in Crosby in July 2018. He has served as the department’s Medical Director since 2019. He also oversees CRMC’s trauma and stroke programs and provides medical direction for CRMC EMS and several local first responder groups.
Dr. Kaczmarczyk came to CRMC from Hennepin County Medical Center, where he completed his emergency medicine residency and a fellowship in advanced emergency ultrasound. He serves as an adjunct assistant professor in the Departments of Emergency Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center and the University of Minnesota. He is also an instructor for the MN POCUS Project, a grant-funded program that brings bedside point-of-care ultrasound training and resources to rural providers across Minnesota.
Before medical school, he spent a year with AmeriCorps VISTA through the Ohio Campus Compact program at John Carroll University, working to expand access to higher education for first-generation and low-income college students.
In his words: “I enjoy caring for and interacting with patients and their families during some of their most challenging and stressful moments. I find great fulfillment in providing high-quality emergency care to this community, its residents, and those who have traveled here to experience all of the beauty our area has to offer.”
