Talk with your health care provider about a minimally invasive procedure for starting long-term treatment with a small bowel control device. The device provides gentle electrical simulation that helps to correct the miscommunication between the bowel and the brain to relives your symptoms.
This minimally invasive procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and only takes about an hour. During the procedure, the device will be placed in your upper buttock just under the skin. You will be given a wireless controller to adjust your treatment. Your health care provider will show you how you can make the easy adjustments. This device is not permanent and you will always have the option of turning it off and having it removed.
