The Department of Anesthesia at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center is comprised of two Board-Certified Physician Anesthesiologists, five certified registered nurse anesthetists, and one anesthesia technologist.  The department delivers anesthetic services for over 5,000 cases each year.  They also provide acute pain management and participate in critical care medicine throughout all locations at CRMC.  Most surgical subspecialties (with the exception of cardiac and neuro surgery) are represented in the department’s patient population, with high volumes in orthopedic and bariatric surgery, including highly-specialized revisional surgeries.  The cardiac trained anesthesiologists work closely with surgeons and primary physicians to provide state-of-the-art anesthesia monitoring and perioperative care at a level surpassing even most large city hospitals.   

The Department of Anesthesia is a dynamic and innovative group of physicians and providers who strive to deliver anesthesia care with a priority on patient safety and comfort.  Outside of clinical duties, the department plays an active role in the hospital.  The physicians and providers hold leadership positions at the medical staff executive level and have representations on many important clinical committees.  The department consistently performs at the highest level of standards in patient care ratings and employee satisfaction.
