
Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby is holding New Volunteer Open Houses the first two weeks of May to showcase the numerous opportunities available to people with the desire to serve and offer care and compassion to its patients and residents.
The events are planned Tuesday, May 4, from 2-3 p.m.; Friday, May 7, from 2-3 p.m.; Monday, May 10, from 3-4 p.m.; and Thursday, May 13, from 3-4 p.m., all in the hospital’s Clinic Conference Room.
CRMC is seeking volunteers to help patients, visitors, and staff by providing excellent customer service. Hospital and clinic concierge positions are available as well as in the Care Center and various offices. Duties include clerical work, greeting guests, walking patients to destinations, delivering flowers, returning wheelchairs, visiting with residents, and helping with their activities, and assisting with special projects and events.
Availability of positions is usually greatest during weekday, daytime hours. Volunteers must be 18 years or older, flexible and willing to do a variety of tasks. Benefits of becoming a CRMC volunteer include tremendous self-satisfaction from helping others, social interaction and the opportunity to make new friends, and seeing first-hand what various professions are really like.
