A total of $3,370 was raised for area Hospice patients through HomeHealth Partnership of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s annual Tree of Love fund-raising event. The donations honored 255 loved ones.
Lights will continue to shine on the Tree of Love outside CRMC’s Care Center throughout the holidays. Last year, $3,005 was donated in memory or honor of 133 names. In 2015, $3,990 was donated for 317 names; $3,980 was donated for 257 names in 2014; and in 2013 a total of $2,360 was raised for 128 names.
Donations to the Tree of Love benefit Hospice, a service of compassionate care for people who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Hospice involves a team approach to expert medical care, pain management, emotional and spiritual support. A vital part of hospice care is providing support to the family and loved ones of patients.
