As part of the upcoming Erin’s Wish fund-raiser, the Crosby Dairy Queen is donating 10 percent of its sales on Sunday, July 23, to area cancer patients through Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Courage Cabinet.
Erin’s Wish will be held Saturday, July 29, at the Town Tavern in Ironton beginning at 9 a.m. The fund-raiser is in memory of Erin Broadhead, who at 50 years old lost her fight with colon cancer. The second annual event includes a motorcycle run, kids’ games, dunk tank, bags tournament, meat raffle, live music, and a cash raffle.
The Courage Cabinet makes cancer patient’s journey a little easier by providing financial assistance to help meet basic needs and allow them to focus on healing. The funds are used to provide things like travel assistance, nutrition supplements, medications, compression garments, and more to those in the fight of their lives.
For those who cannot participate, donations to CRMC’s Courage Cabinet can be made at https://Erinswish.givesmart.com. For details, contact Jennifer Podsiadly at Jennifer.Podsiadly@cuyunamed.org or 218-545-4455.
