
Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Sarah Berscheit of Crosslake in late November will join the medical staff of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Cancer Care Center in Crosby.
Her passions include the adult-gerontology populations and holistic health care encompassing caring for her patients physically, socially, psychologically, and spiritually. Her experience in holistic care involves extensive training, certification and experience in Primary Care and Regenerative medicine including trigger point/tendon sheath injections, stem cell and amniotic allograft injections, Viscosuppementation, Neuropathy, and Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy.
As a Registered Nurse, Berscheit gained experience in a multitude of fields with various populations. She worked for seven years as Registered Nursing Assistant at Methodist Hospital in the pre-operative, post anesthesia care unit, and one day surgery center. She also worked in home care for two years with pediatric and teenage patients and for four years at St. John’s Hospital on the Medical/Surgical/Oncology/Hospice Unit. Most recently she was a Population Health & Wellness Nurse at CRMC.
She earned her Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Master of Science degree and Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Purdue University. Berscheit also holds an Associate of Science degree in nursing from Saint Catherine University in Minneapolis and Nursing Assistant Certification from Central Lakes College in Brainerd.
Berscheit is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Minnesota Nurses Association. Outside of her work, she enjoys cooking, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and being on the lake.
