
Obstetrician/Gynecologist Jennifer Tessmer-Tuck, M.D., recently joined the medical staff of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center and is accepting new patients. She is passionate about providing safe and high-quality care for women while working to meet their personalized goals for their health and maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction.
Dr. Tessmer-Tuck comes to CRMC from North Memorial Health in Robbinsdale, where she served as Vice President of Medical Affairs and an OB/GYN hospitalist. She previously practiced at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and Allina Health in Hastings.
Dr. Tessmer-Tuck grew up in Moorhead and attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She earned her Medical Degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis and completed her internship and residency at Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland where she was elected Chief Resident. A Fellow with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), Dr. Tessmer-Tuck was named one of Minnesota Monthly’s Top Doctors in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. In 2016, Metro Doctors, the Journal of the Twin Cities Medical Society recognized her in the article “Contributions to Medicine by Six Outstanding Female Physicians.”
Dr. Tessmer-Tuck's passion is improving care for women during pregnancy and delivery. She serves on the Board of the Minnesota Perinatal Quality Collaborative, the Minnesota Hospital Association Perinatal Committee, the MN ACOG Advisory Council and on the National Council for Patient Safety in Women's Health Care.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Tessmer-Tuck is active in improving maternal and child health care internationally and has traveled extensively to teach and practice OB/GYN including to Argentina, Honduras, Mexico and Tanzania. Her husband, Paul, is a 1988 graduate of Crosby-Ironton High School and they are thrilled to be closer to the mountain bike trails and the beauty of the region. The Tessmer-Tucks have three active boys in middle and high school. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and exploring new people and cultures, quilting, photography and gardening.
