Cuyuna Regional Medical Center has expanded its services to include Dry Needling which uses thin needles to trigger multiple responses in the body to decrease pain, inflammation and promote healing and tissue remodeling in problematic areas. Dry needling is a modern, science-based intervention for the treatment of pain and dysfunction in musculoskeletal conditions such as fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, neck pain, shoulder pain, hip and knee pain, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, TMJ, low-back pain, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis and more.
Physical Therapist Chad Morlock, DPT, Cert. DN, received his Certification in Dry Needling through the Dry Needling Institute of American Academy of Manipulative Therapy and is a certified physical therapist with experience in using this treatment for multiple conditions. A member of CRMC’s Rehabilitation staff since 2015, Morlock holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He also worked in an outpatient clinic in Howard Lake, Minn., for a year before becoming a traveling therapist. While traveling, he gained experience in a variety of settings including home care, outpatient and acute acre. Outside of work, he enjoys coaching soccer, watching and playing most sports, being outdoors, running, hunting and spending time with his family.
