
A specialist in family medicine, Dr. Paul Carey of Nisswa, will begin practicing as a family physician at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center on Monday, Nov. 18.
Dr. Carey came to CRMC from CentraCare Urgency Center is St. Cloud where he worked as staff physician the past three years. He also served as an urgent care physician at Essentia/Brainerd Medical Clinic for 20 years and as a family medicine and ER physician at the Family Medical Center in Little Falls for three years. Dr. Carey also proudly serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Minnesota National Guard.
The physician earned his Medical Degree and a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He completed a residency in family practice and community health at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul and an internship at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He and his wife, Mary, have three children.
Dr. Carey will be treating patients for same-day type healthcare Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For an appointment, call 218-546-7462.
