The Iron Range Eatery and Cuyuna Brewing in Crosby are hosting Happy Hour for a Cause on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the brewery to benefit Because of Brandon, the annual benefit for Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Diabetes Education Department.
The Happy Hour will be all about Brandon Houge, a young man from Ironton who passed away at age 27 from Type 1 diabetes. Because of Brandon was established in honor of his memory the summer of 2016 and since then has raised more than $197,000 to help others avoid the same loss.
Live music including Brandon’s favorite Phil Collins’ tunes will be performed, his favorite tator tot hot dish will be served together with chips and cheese dip and there will be games highlighting his love of duck hunting. Those attending will also hear a presentation about the cause and youth benefiting from the fund.
Cost to attend is $15 per person which will include four samples of local brews and Brandon’s special hot dish recipe prepared by the chefs at Iron Range Eatery. One hundred percent of the admittance will be used to fund youth diabetes camps, patient travel expenses, and educational events.
Duck hunting attire encouraged. Please R.S.V.P. here or by calling 218-545-4447.
