In an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy, Cuyuna Regional Medical Center has cancelled its annual fundraising events this summer.
Because of Brandon, the diabetes patient fundraiser held each July, has been cancelled. The Planning Committee made a tough decision as several of them knew Brandon Houge whose memory the event honors or have children and friends who are living with Type 1 diabetes. The group is passionate about raising funds for diabetes education and helping area patients and youth with diabetes in the surrounding communities and will continue do so long after the pandemic ends.
Also, the Driving for Hospice gold tournament planned for early September has been cancelled. It was a difficult decision, but the health and safety of communities, staff, and residents must come first. CRMC remains committed to raising funds to provide end-of-life care to hospice patients, fund supplies, medications and home equipment; and will continue to do so following this global health crisis.
Those who want to contribute to the funds may do so at any time by contacting Jennifer Podsiadly at jennifer.podsiadly@cuyunamed.org or 218-545-4455.
