Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Emergency Medical Technician Pete Kvale of Brainerd last week received the organization’s Trophy Fish Award for going above and beyond in his job duties.
On a recent evening after there was nine inches of snow, Kvale took it upon himself to shovel by hand the front entrance to the ER so patients could get in without having to walk through the snow. “He is always thinking of the patients,” his nominator wrote.
Kvale has been a member of CRMC’s Emergency Medical Services staff since 2014. He also worked as an EMT for Thief River Falls Ambulance and Duluth Sports Medical. Kvale earned his Associates degree at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.
