Sue Steinke of Ironton, who works at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Business Office, today received the organization’s Trophy Fish Award for going above and beyond caring for a fellow employee.
She recently gave a co-worker her personal money to fix a vehicle tire. The employee’s husband was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and they needed to drive to the Mayo Clinic for treatment. Steinke overhead the other employee talking about how she had no money at the time to get a tire fixed and offered to help her without being asked so she would have a safe trip.
“Sue is such a wonderful and caring person,” her nominator wrote. “I am asking that she be recognized for such a caring and wonderful gesture.”
