An Emergency Medical Technician course is being offered by Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Education in Crosby this winter for people wanting to help save lives and contribute to the health of their community.
The 17-week class begins January 23 and will be held Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at CRMC in Crosby. The cost of the course is $1,500 which includes the course book and materials. Additionally, there is a uniform expectation including black or tactical pants and a white polo shirt.
The EMT course prepares individuals to be part of a career-based, emergency care team. EMTs typically partner with other EMTs or Paramedics on an ambulance crew but can also assist in caring for patients in hospital emergency departments. Becoming an EMT is a great way to be introduced to the many options of emergency care.
Limited seats are available. To secure a spot, register with a non-refundable 25 percent down payment by contacting Jodi Bedard, jodi.bedard@cuynamed.org or 218-546-4367.
