
Board Certified Chaplain Mark Henson of Minot, North Dakota, has joined the staff of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. He will assess spiritual care needs and provide direct spiritual care and consultation to patients, families, and staff.
The Chaplain is the spiritual care specialist of CRMC’s Care Management team. He works with other members of the interdisciplinary team to identify and respond to spiritual and emotional needs and is attuned to notice the relational dynamics and ethical principles at play in the clinical and professional setting. Rev. Dr. Henson is a full time Chaplain who has time dedicated to each of the following areas: Hospice, Care Center, Palliative Care, Hospital, and will participate in employee support programs and community outreach with local ministerial services.
Rev. Dr. Henson earned his Doctor of Ministry at New York Theological Seminary in New York City. He also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo.; Master of Science degree in Social Gerontology from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Mo.; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal studies from Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa.
Prior to CRMC, Rev. Dr. Henson served as Director of Pastoral Care at Trinity Health in Minot for four years. He also worked as Manager of Spiritual Care for Thomson Health in Canandaigua, New York, for eight years; as a staff chaplain at Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, Mo., for eight years; and as a chaplain resident at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., for one year.
