The following COVID-19 measures are taking place the week of April 20 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center to protect patients and staff:
Curbside Pharmacy
CRMC's Outpatient Pharmacy is offering curbside pickup service for medications. To utilize the service, drive to the main entrance of CRMC and text your name and vehicle description to 218-217-4806. A Pharmacy staff member will safely bring your prescription(s) to your vehicle. Two reserved Pharmacy parking spaces are also available at the entrance along Highway 210. Signs are posted with the text number. Those without the ability to text, may call (218) 546-2345 for assistance. Both prescriptions and over-the-counter items are available for curbside pickup and delivery. The Pharmacy's regular hours Monday though Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Donations Needed
All CRMC employees are now wearing masks while in the facility and donations of personal protective masks are needed to help conserve existing medical equipment for providers engaged in treating patients. Details on items needed and instructions are available at Facebook/Crosby cares. Supplies may be safely donated Wednesday, April 22, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at CRMC’s employee parking lot along Highway 210 in Crosby. When you come to donate items, remain in your vehicle. A staff member will come to you to safely accept your donation. Look for a tent and “donation” signage as you arrive. For answers to any donation questions or an alternative time to make a donation, please contact Jennifer Podsiadly at Jennifer.podsiadly@cuyunamed.org or 218-545-4455.
Virtual Visits
CRMC is offering patients the opportunity to use virtual or telephone visits to meet with their healthcare provider without coming into a building. Patients with a good internet connection can do this from home with a laptop or smartphone. For patients who have no internet access, or feel their internet might not support a visit, CRMC has designated parking spots outside of the Care Center to left of the main entrance canopy to use while attending these virtual visits. To schedule a virtual visit, call (218) 546-7000. The nurses and scheduling staff will guide you through the process of getting set up for the virtual visit.
Nurse Hotline
To help keep area residents healthy, CRMC is providing free, 24/7 telephone visits with a nurse from the comfort of your home. People experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or those feel they have been exposed, please call 218-545-7000. Nurses will screen and evaluate respiratory symptoms and concerns related to COVID-19. No appointment is necessary, and all are welcome to call.
Restricted Entrances
Access to CRMC Crosby is restricted and everyone entering the facility will be screened by a nurse. Only the Main Entrance will be available between 4:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Entrance A is available only for oncology and wound care patients from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Emergency Department entrance continues to be available 24/7.
Respiratory Clinic
CRMC has created a special Respiratory Clinic to be operational through the COVID-19 pandemic. Clinic patients with respiratory symptoms are asked to use the Emergency Department entrance and register. The new clinic is operational in Bay 6 of the Crosby physician clinic. Convenient parking across from the Emergency entrance has been reserved for Respiratory Clinic patients.
Clinic Hours
CRMC is limiting access to its physician clinics to protect its patients, residents and staff. The Breezy Point Clinic’s hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. The Longville Clinic’s hours are 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Financial Questions
CRMC has closed public access to its Business Support Services building. Employees will continue to provide customers with access to their medical records and will be available to answer billing related questions. The staff will work directly with individual patients to arrange for safe pick up or send items via mail. Arrangements can also be made for urgent requests as the law defines a release for records to be within 30 days. Please contact Revenue Cycle Director Arlene Haukos at Arlene.Haukos@cuyunamed.org or 218-546-2313 with any questions.
Cancellations
CRMC’s shuttle service is not being offered during the pandemic. All community classes, support groups and events have been cancelled until further notice.
