Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby recently received accreditation for four years of its Continuing Medical Education (CME) program from the Minnesota Medical Association’s Committee on Accreditation and Continuing Medical Education.
The accreditation status allows CRMC to offer American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award Category 1 credits for all education events that meet CME criteria, reportable to the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
CRMC initially received accreditation in the spring of 2014 following a review of its medical education program. Because of the accreditation, physicians and other specialists can meet their annual education requirements through programs offered at CRMC rather than travelling.
