Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Care Center is now accepting donations of Christmas presents for its residents. Please bring unwrapped donations in bags or boxes marked male or female to the Care Center by Friday, Dec. 18, so gifts can be personalized for each individual.
A collection bin is set up outside the Care Center’s main entrance. For everyone’s health and safety, donors can leave items there without coming into the facility. Activities staff will be collecting donations from the bin at 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily.
On Christmas, staff will deliver all gifts to residents based upon need, cognitive ability, diet, and dexterity. Clothing gift suggestions are night gown/ pajama sets size medium to XXL, men’s short sleeve undershirts, women’s long sleeve and sleeveless undershirts, slippers with rubber soles, slipper socks, sweatshirts, sweatpants, shirts and cardigan sweaters. Sizes needed vary from small to XXXXL.
Other gift suggestions include: colored pencils, markers, adult coloring books, electric razors, cologne/after shave, lotions, body sprays, shampoo and conditioner for men and women, body wash, individually wrapped Debbie cakes, rolls/candy, large numerical universal television remotes, universal headphones for televisions, postage stamps, ITUNE gift cards, gift certificates to Wal-Mart and McDonald’s, and new or gently used iPads.
Thank you in advance for caring about the residents of the Care Center. For more information, contact Mary Dehning at 218-546-4353.
